Chandler Bolt here’s looking fresher than mint gum dipped in Listerine. He’s the CEO of SelfPublishing.com and the author of the book Published. “If you’re listening to this,” he says in his overview video, “it’s probably because you’re working on a book. And you wanna get that book out there; you wanna publish it; or maybe you’ve already published it and it’s not selling as well as you’d like it to; and you’re interested in seeing how we can help with that book.”
“At SelfPublishing.com and Self-Publishing School,” Chandler continues, “we’re an online education company and a service company. We help you write and publish your book, or get your book out there if you’ve already written it. Alright, so we’re gonna come alongside you, we’re gonna help you make progress. A lot of people have been dreaming about this book for years, for decades, but they just can’t figure out how to do it. Or they’re ready to publish and it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, what now?’”
There’s so many options. There’s hybrid companies, traditional publishers. And it can cost a small country’s GDP if you’re not careful. So then you attempt to go it alone, but it’s one headache after the next. You might still waste a ton of time and money. But have no fear, Chandler and his team will save the ship from sinking. “We’re here to help you,” he pitches. “We’re a reputable company that’s gonna take you through the steps. We have a step by step curriculum. We’ll pair you up with a coach.”
“We’re also gonna do the final mile of publishing for you,” he adds. “But you keep all the rights. So we’re gonna create a book cover for ya, format your book, so many other things. We’d love to talk to ya about your book and how we might be able to assist.” Chandler asks that you book a call with his team to see which program is right for you. They sell a Become a Bestseller Non-Fiction Package for $6,000; a Fundamentals of Fiction and Story Package for $6,000; and an Author Advantage Acceleration Package for $16,000.
Full disclosure: they’re pretty picky about who they work with. They get thousands of people booking discovery calls each month, and only select about a handful to take on as clients. “If you’re a fit and if you qualify to work with us, we’ll talk about what that looks like on your call,” Chandler says. “Alright? Now if you’ve been dreaming about this book, you’ve been thinking about this book, and you’re stuck and want somebody to help you through the entire process, A to Z? Then you’re in the right place.”
Dr. Sonia Wright, who leveraged her book to sell a course, had this to say about working with Self-Publishing School: “I ended up with $70,000 in cash at the end of it. I had 40 students and then I had another 12 that was in receivables. So I ended up, with that launch, doing $82,000 in total. My life changed, all because I listened to what you told me!” Pretty cool, but sounds like most (if not all) of that money was from course sales. What about book sales? Anyone getting any of those?
Appears so. There’s a good amount of testimonials on Chandler’s website you can scroll through. One of ’em that stuck out was Nola Li Barr, who said her biggest reservation before joining SPS was the cost. Luckily, she went ahead and did it anyway; turned out to be the single best investment she’s ever made in herself. This, coming from a girl who spent like a rapper in a music video to get her PhD. While she doesn’t say exactly what her book’s making her, it’s clear she’s raking in the royalties.
