The problem most people run into is they have a limited amount of time and energy; and yet, so much to learn and do, Daniel explains. From product selection to sourcing, Amazon PPC ads to reviews, giveaways, Facebook ads, Shopify, ManyChat, and the list goes on, right? So what happens is, you end up spreading yourself thin. You start to feel overwhelmed and confused. That’s when you fall into what Daniel calls “the black hole.” A never-ending vortex of activity that produces no results.

Contrary to popular belief, success on Amazon is not about doing more things, more marketing. “Truth is,” Daniel says, “it’s not about doing more, it’s about doing less, better. That’s when you get traction. Fact is, most things don’t move the needle. Most things slow you down. So if you want to grow your business faster, you must know exactly what gets results. It’s the 80/20 Rule. You must know the 20% that delivers 80% of the results in your business. That’s when things take off.”

“But if you get sucked into the black hole, you’re gonna waste your time and money,” Daniel continues. “Your business will barely move forward. And you will miss out on a huge opportunity to grow your business on Amazon right now. And you will eventually burn out and quit. So instead, here’s what you need to do. Get clear and focused. Because in reality, there are only two things that get results in a private label business on Amazon. And those two things are products and sales.”

That might seem A) obvious and B) oversimplified, but you’d be surprised how many little nuances go into those two things, Daniel says. “But when you do a fantastic job in both the product department and in the sales department, that’s when you make progress. That’s when your business moves forward. And again, there’s a lot that goes into doing these two things better than 99% of Amazon sellers. But the bottom line is, if you do those two things better and more efficiently than your competition, you will succeed.”

“Now that you understand the two things that matter in a private label business on Amazon, you have two options. You can try to figure out how to do these things better than the competition, on your own; or, option two, you can receive everything you need from someone who has already figured this out. And not just figured it out, but also has a proven track record of helping others succeed with it too. That way, you can focus your time and energy on doing the right things, the right way, right now.”

But it’s only for active private label sellers who are already making at least some sales on Amazon. It goes without saying, but you should also be a good person who wants to add value with the products you’re selling. And, last but not least, ya gotta be willing to put some skin in the game.
